Kingfish

Grandpa George passed away yesterday morning 12/29/11.Grandpa George has always been very special to me. I grew up with Grandpa living right next to us just up the hill. I would ride my bike to his house frequently. He would come down to our house nearly every morning. He would be there while I was getting ready for school and loved playing tricks on me like putting rocks in my lunch box. Now I don't mean pebbles, I mean large stones. Grandpa had the best sense of humor. He would play along to tease me even when my brothers turned me invisible.

I learned so many things from Grandpa. I love his calm demeanor and his great perspective on life. He knew what wasn't a big deal and was very easy going. My favorite story of Grandpa happened when I was about seven. He was babysitting me at his house. He was relaxing in his recliner and I was farting around looking at Grandma Jo's "knick knacks". Now you have to know my Grandma to appreciate this story, but her house is loaded head to toe with knick knack and decorations. I was studying her knick knacks on their fire mantle when one of them fell and shattered. I was terrified that I was going to be in so much trouble. I turned around to Grandpa anticipating a yelling. He had barely flinched and calmly said, "Clean it up, I won't tell." Grandpa was so forgiving and knew that something broken wasn't a good reason to yell at a child and I love him for that. We told Grandma I broke something but we never told her what it was. It was our little secret. She eventually figured it out, but it took her years.

We could call Grandpa for anything. My brother Andy was constantly using Grandpa as his attorney in high school to get him out of things and to calm my mom down. I have called Grandpa multiple times to help me find my dad's dog Gilligan. I thought my dad would kill me if I lost his dog. Gilligan like everyone else loves Grandpa George. He would come running when he was Grandpa's little truck putting along even if Gilligan was far up on the hill. I have so many sweet memories of Grandpa and funny stories that I will always cherish.

I love my Grandpa and I will always be his baby girl. This past month he hasn't been totally coherent all the time but one of the last things he told me is, "Now my baby girl has her own baby girl." Grandpa George you will be greatly missed. You were loved so deeply by many.

10.10.11

Happy two year Anniversary to us! I can't believe it's been two years. At times it seems like it was just yesterday we were getting married and other times it seems like we have been married forever and it's hard to remember life before Ricky. I love my husband so much! He is my best friend, and I can't wait for all the many future years to come!

Not to mention, Ricky is the best new dad ever! Look at how good he looks with a baby! I am really impressed by his diapering/ feeding/ burping/ dressing/ bathing/ swaddling/ (you get the point) skills. Sanitation and transportation is Ricky's specialty. Thank you for being such a great Dad Ricky! Quin loves you and so do I!

Baby Showers

August called for a month of baby showers! Katelyn and Amy planned the cutest shower! It was so much fun! I felt so spoiled. Ricky reminded me that the gifts aren't for me though, but for the baby so now I see that see is the new spoiled one!

The best shower throwers ever!

Yum Yum! Check out the awesome cake Amy made!

The Queen sitting upon her spoiled throne.

Sage Day Spa Girls. I had to stand opposite of Whitney so I didn't look so huge!

My family had a shower for me as well. This was the most memorable gift. This is from Doug. It's a practice baby made out of a huge zucchine from his garden. Heidi said he thought of it all by himself. It cracked me up! We did use it as practice and even let it rest in the crib, until it started to mold...

Past the 7th Inning Stretch

Pregnancy is like baseball. Nine long months similar to nine long innings in baseball. However once you get past the seventh inning stretch it doesn't feel like forever, and could be over very quickly. I hope I am not jinxing myself by saying this but I feel like our baby girl will be here before we know it!

Williams Lake

As Reese would say, "I yike the yake!" This is definitely how Ricky and I feel about the lake too. We have only gone a couple of times this summer but loved every minute of it.

Proof of prego wake boarder.

Two love birds

I saved the best for last. This picture is absolutly terrible! 32 weeks pregnant, it cracks me up! This is documenting the baby's first hot shower from the back of the boat. We had all just jumped off the rock.

4th of July

Happy 4th of July! The weather has finally warmed up and now I am the pregnant lady wishing it was cooler! We had a fun 4th! We went to Glen Beck in Driggs and watched the fireworks. I was really impressed and definitely want to make it a tradition. We had fun BBQ's with family and friends, slept on the trampoline, went boating, and even little baby hone went wakeboarding!

What Babies Bring...

Babies bring bigger cars...

Bigger Bellies...

And cute baby cribs!

Yes we sold the beloved Yaris. I am proud to say that I didn't cry even though I wanted to a little. We bought a 2000 4 Runner that suits me just fine. The belly pic is from 20 weeks. It is the only pregnancy picture I have taken for a couple reasons. Number one we are terrible at taking pictures, and number two when picture moments arrive I usually do not feel like showing off my large and in charge belly. I need to though to remember this pregnancy and I will do better. I am much bigger now at 26 weeks. I love the baby's room! It is honestly all ready for the most part.

Baby Girl!

Baby Hone is a baby girl! I had an ultrasound last week and it was amazing! It hadn't really hit me yet that there was a baby growing inside. It felt like I was just getting a little chubby, but it was amazing to see a perfect little body growing! It was very relieving to me to know that the baby is developing properly including brain, heart, kidneys, legs, arms, fingers, and toes! We almost weren't able to tell the sex because the baby was curled up in a little ball. She had her ankles crossed with her elbows on her knees. It was so cute! These ultra sound pictures are not the greatest but they are my favorite. One is a 3D picture that looks kinda weird and blurry, but it is so cute! I am 20 weeks this week and can't wait for the next 20 weeks to go by! Ricky and I are very excited for this little girl to arrive!

4 more days until we can find out the sex of this little one! I am so excited! This is way better than Christmas or all of my Birthdays combined. I can't wait to find out if this baby is a little Ricky or a Little Lisa!

Longest Semester of My Life....

Two weeks left. That's what I keep telling myself. This has been by far the longest and hardest semester. I can't wait for it to be over! I have been thinking about making a paper chain to count down the days. Two weeks is not much longer, but it is to me when it seems like every class is a struggle to go to! Not to mention that this little peanut that is growing in my belly makes me very sleepy and hungry all of the time.

We are so excited for baby Hone to arrive! My due date is October 5th. Call me crazy but I already bought a crib. I can't wait to start making the baby a cute home.
